DAY 1
Here I am in Palermo, the city of a thousand colors, I’m having coffee at the Villa Igea hotel, a villa in the purest art deco style built on the wishes of a legendary woman of the Belle Epoque, Franca Florio. The mind wanders... It’s a perfect Indian summer day so I leave aside my visit to Palazzo Butera for another time and I head to Mondello beach.

DAY 2
A warm light and white sand beach await me, the beach sellers are yelling , this could be August. Surrounded by two hills, this beach is the favourite destination for Palermo locals who like me are enjoying this mild late season. And again, the small art deco cottages line the beach front.

DAY 3
The next day, I leave at dawn far into the agricultural lands to discover the region of citrus fruits and in particular the mandarin which in this season is still sharp and vibrant green. In a month, the fuit will have regained its traditional orange colour and will land on all good market shelves in Paris... magical.

DAY 4
At lunch, I meet the owners of a beautiful historical villa and I have the chance to taste the amazingly creamy almond milk with which they make their panna cotta. It is beautifully served on a dish with almond leaves.
It’s already goodbye Palermo, you got under my skin but I have to join my friends in Ravello, at the Caruso hotel.

DAY 5
Ravello, the well known town village favoured by artists and writes overlooking the Amalfi coast . we are here for a few days for a yoga practice... The opportunity to be together, to share plates of tomatoes and seasonal vegetables, precious moments. Happiness...
